The inn was so accommodating when my travel was delayed by a few hours, and the hospitality was wonderful. The breakfast was so delicious, and it was the perfect place to stay in Mendocino.

Great location. Cozy, staff kind, friendly. Breakfast each morning amazing. We stayed in the Sofle room small & quaint. Cute little fireplace great ambiance. Breakfast with the view gorgeous. Rhe one thing that needs improvement is the cream colored carpet. Being the closest room to the front entry door, the carpet was stained and needed cleaning. Removing the carpet, and installing a hard flooring surface with a area rug/runner would serve this room well.

This was the most quant and wholesome inn I have stayed at. Breakfast was spot on and the bed was SO comfy. Stayed in Annies room with plenty of space

The inn is a wonderful place to stay in a stunning setting. The fresh, lovingly made breakfasts are delivered to your room and we had the added pleasure of the deck off of Wilson room where you can see the ocean. A perfect anniversary trip made special by John and Ashley

best location to roam around the town of mendocino and have sweeping coastal views just at minutes walking distance. The room service was very good. The host was super welcoming and friendly. Gave us info about the areas to explore around. The wilson room had in room breakfast which was such wonderfully presented. would recommend staying here

If you’re anything like me planning your trip to Mendocino, you are reading ever hotel and B&B review to make the best choice. Let me just stop you- this is the best choice. We booked on a whim the night before after comparing locations, prices, and aesthetic of each available hotel in town and we could not be happier that we ended up here. Somehow I think we got the best room in the place too on short notice- the George Switzer room, at half the price of everywhere else I was seeing. Steps away from town, I was shocked at how far away some of the pricier resorts are on our drive up. You step into another realm when you are staying in town. I got to watch the end of the sunset over the ocean from my reading nook. The breakfast was heartbreakingly charming, the hosue was warm, quiet, and safe. We had an incredible dinner at Trillium and then brought wine to the room, made a fire, and played games from the inn’s living room. 10/10

Breakfasts were a delight! Besides the delicious food, the breakfast tray had a beautiful small arrangement of fresh flowers and greens that we kept in our room every day. The location was excellent. Everything in town is within walking distance and the people were friendly. We loved walking home after dinner in the natural quiet of a small village with little or no auto traffic. We moved from Annie’s room to Strauss because we extended our stay. Annie’s room was fine but small. Strauss has a lovely bay window looking out on the ocean and some other delightful properties where we could just sit, relax and “enjoy life”.

We had an amazing time at Mendocino thanks to Headlands Inn for making our stay so comfortable. The room was very clean, staff were kind, and breakfast was delicious. Plus they baked cookies for guests! We will definitely be back.
